I have a deep passion to help families affected by sibling sexual abuse. I have spent the last several years working exclusively with families affected by the devastating news that sibling sexual abuse has occurred. As I have worked with these families through confusion and pain that they have experienced I continue to have a frustration why is it that no one talks about sibling sexual abuse. Through my work and research I have come to understand that sibling sexual abuse is truly a silent epidemic. I’m amazed at how often sibling sexual abuse occurs in families. In most cases they carry this unimaginable burden alone. They don’t know what to do, where to go, or even how this happened. I have written my first book in an effort to move the conversation forward about sibling sexual abuse and to try and offer some hope and knowledge for families where this occurs. I am giving a portion of the proceeds sales from Sibling Sexual Abuse to organizations that support survivors of childhood sexual abuse. I hope that you will join me in this effort to create a national dialogue about the damaging effects of sibling sexual abuse and the heavy price children and families pay as a result of our continued silence about this epidemic.
